The park is next to the Moore-Hornor House It’s also above and overlooking the Fort Curtis replica site.  In 2015 the Helena-West Helena Rotary Club and the Seven Generals SCV Camp 135 erected a plaque in honor of Confederate soldiers.  Behind this memorial visitors can observe Battery C Park on the hill  above which was the location of some of the most severe fighting of the July 4th battle.  A lone cannon also is located at the park.  Battery C is in the background.

This park and other historical sites in and around Helena-West Helena are helping tell the role of the city and Phillips County in Arkansas and United States history.
